FORMBY LADIES GOLF CLUB
Founded in 1896, this links course has a well-deserved reputation of being one of the top ladies courses in Britain. The course has narrow fairways, sandy bunkers and small greens, which demands skill and precision.
ROYAL LYTHAM AND ST ANNES
With 200 bunkers peppered along the fairways and surrounding the greens, it will be a stern test of golfing skills at every level. Formed in 1886, this is such a special place that you'll want to play here again.
ROYAL LIVERPOOL (HOST TO OPEN 2006)
Built in 1869 on what was then the Liverpool Hunt Club Race Course, known as Hoylake, it is the second oldest English seaside course. This classic links course requires carefully positioned tee shots if you don't want to spend most of your time in the bunkers.
ROYAL BIRKDALE (HOST TO THE OPEN 2008)
Formed in 1889, this world renowned club has hosted the Open Championship no less than eight times, as well as the Ryder Cup twice and will once again host the Open in 2008. Royal Birkdale stands out as one of the best examples of links golf, no wonder it has been voted Number 1 in its time.
