The kitchen you will cook in is designed for classes, with an electric oven, professional machinery, copper and steel saucepans, and many tools for you, the students.
Maria Grazia Calò, your food expert, has been teaching Italian and local cuisine for ten years and is currently leading classes in Venice, Milan and Perugia. The dishes you learn will be based on traditional recipes that you can make at home and each menu consists of four courses that change according to the season, although all are seafood based. Your ingredients will be the freshest available, as the chef will have gone to the fish market to purchase them that very morning.
The dining room, where you will have your meal after you have prepared it, is large with a tall ceiling - nearly 15 feet - and complete with antique furniture. Enjoy your meal in the style of a true Venetian!

Lunch is included in the price of this tour. Please note that on Sundays and Mondays the fish market is closed, so the fish will be bought the day before.
To get to San Marco square you can either take the vaporetto (public water bus) for about 4€ one way, or hire a private water taxi (like a speedboat limo) for between 30€ and 50€. Allow about 30 minutes to get from the cruise ship pier to San Marco Square.
