In 2020, the first question asked by our clients is no longer, "Which river should I sail on?" but, "How safe is it to take a river cruise?" While stringent safety and sanitation protocols have always been in place, enhanced procedures have been established to ensure the health and wellbeing of the guests throughout their cruise.
New embarkation procedures offer guests a safe start to their vacation including:

• Social distancing throughout embarkation
• Health screening such as a touch-free temperature-check

• Luggage disinfection prior to boarding

New safety guidelines for guests throughout their cruise include:

• Reducing the ship's capacity as required for more space on board per guest
• Limiting the total number of guests in the restaurants at one time

• All meals served by wait staff, with no self-service allowed
• Disinfection of all dining areas between meals
• Deep disinfection of each stateroom between cruises
• Adjusting the ratio of guides and coaches for excursions
• Providing masks for guests to wear during any event where social proximity could become an issue, including disembarkation for excursions and safety drills
• Required use of hand-sanitizing stations when leaving the ship, returning to the ship and entering dining venues as well as entering each public/common space
